About the show

Starting April 6th CFRB's showcase of broadcast journalism student documentaries moves to a new time. CFRB Presents with News Director Dave Trafford will be heard Sunday afternoon at 2pm. The Best of CFRB Presents will continue to be heard Saturday nights at 10pm.

CFRB radio has a long history of providing exceptional work place opportunities for young broadcast journalist. Our "Summer Beat" Reporter program has been running for more than 30 years - (it used to be called the "Good News" reporter program). Unlike other broadcast internships in Canada, CFRB puts them on the air, allowing them to work as a General Assignment Reporter in a major market newsroom. At the end of their year with us, they are invariably ready to work in just about any market in the country.

Newstalk 1010 has extended its commitment to these young broadcast journalists, through a student focussed program called "CFRB Presents". It's a one hour weekly program that highlights the excellent documentary work produced and presented by University and College students from across the country.

There is always room for universal stories that are well told and that's what you'll get on "CFRB Presents" - Sundays at 2p and Saturday night at 10 o'clock on Newstalk 1010.
