Missing Baby Returned to Sick Kids

The parents of a nine-month-old boy who had been described as malnourished, are in custody.

The woman was accused of taking her son from Sick Kids Hospital Friday against doctors orders. The doctors had deemed the baby malnourished, and at nine months he weighs only 11 pounds.

Police had been begging for her to bring the boy back because he needed medical attention, and when she and the baby's father did, it's reported they refused to give him up for testing, due to religious reasons.

The ETF was called in to negotiate and get the infant into treatment, and the parents were arrested along with a third person.

Court appearances are scheduled for Monday.
