Adam Van Koeverden Honored As Canada's Flag-Bearer

Born in Oakville, Adam van Koeverden is the reigning Olympic champion in the k-1 500 kayak singles.

van Koeverden is now an international star in his sport. He carried the Canadian flag at the closing of the 2004 Olympic games and is known as one of the world's best paddlers.
He has won 21 World Cup gold medals, and seems to dominate the sport every time he hits the water with his kayak.
Adam is set to carry the Canada flag into the Beijing National Stadium August 8th with 330 of his fellow Canadian athletes.
