Halton Regional Police identify boy in dirtbike accident

A teenager is in hospital after a dirt bike accident in Oakville, and it took police most of the day to figure out his name.
The boy was found in the Oaks Trails and Hillmount Drive area around 4:00 Saturday morning.
Halton police Acting Staff Sergeant Dave Pollard tells CFRB News the boy was found with a blue Yamaha 80cc dirt bike after apparently crashing into a cement barrier with no helmet on, and not carrying any identification, which is what took so long to identify him. They say tips from the public led to them learning his identity.
He is currently in critical condition in a Toronto hospital with serious head and internal injuries.
Police have been unable to notify his family about the accident because they are on vacation out of the country.
