Arrest in Peel's First Murder of 2009

The owner of a small Indian grocery store in Malton has been charged in the murder of his daughter-in-law.
The body of 22 year old Amandeep Kaur Dhillon was found inside Airport Foods New Year's Day morning. Police said there were obvious signs of trauma.
The store's owner was found suffering from apparent chest wounds. He was taken to hospital and on Tuesday he was arrested.
Forty-seven year old Kamikar Singh Dhillon faces a charge of first degree murder.
It was Peel Region's first homicide of 2009.
