Canadian Olympians Return Home
Signs, flowers and screaming supporters greeted Canada's Olympians as they returned from Beijing.
Dozens of family members and friends waited at the International Arrival gates to welcome home their champions.
Beaming as she showed off her silver trampoline medal, Karen Cockburn was a little startled by the cameras and screams when she arrived at Pearson.
"This is such an amazing welcome home. It's just a little over whelming, but really nice."
Calling "Thank you" to a group of girls who screamed "You Rock Adam," silver medal kayaker Adam van Koeverden said going to the games was a tremendous opportunity.
"It was fantastic. I learned a lot about myself as an athlete, and myself as a person, recognizing that the Olympics is supposed to be tough... I had a very good experience."
After close to 13 hours on a plane, all the athletes said they were looking forward to seeing family and friends, having some home cooking, and getting to sleep in their own bed.
