Fatality at Downtown Construction Site

A 55 year old man is dead following a mishap at a downtown construction site.

It happened at a condomium tower under construction on Bay Street near College at around 3:30 Monday afternoon.

Police say the man was working on the third floor when he was struck by a piece of metal debris that sliced through his hard hat.

The man's name was being withheld until his family had been notified.

The Ministry of Labour was called in to investigate.
