Lori Paris reports on whether parents should be allowed to go with their kids to job interviews
Job interviews are almost always stressful situations, and would probably be easier if you had some support, or maybe a friendly face during the whole thing.

Well, how about bringing along your parents?

A new survey commissioned by RSM Richter, an accounting and business advisory firm, says one in five Canadians think parents should be allowed to go to job interviews with their children.

Listen to Lori Paris’ Report.

The firm initiated the study after getting numerous calls from parents of applicants, asking about the interview process.

The study showed that 19 percent of Canadians think parents should be allowed to tag along to a job interview, with Dad being the most likely to ask, at 22 percent, versus 16 percent of women wanting to be there.

The survey also showed that parents in Quebec were more in favour of being allowed to tag along to an interview, at 54 percent. Ontario and BC were the lowest, at 44 and 42 percent respectively.
