Amber Gero's report on the 905 election reaction

Residents of the 905 appear to be warming up to the Conservatives according to a new poll. Their support outside of Toronto is 41 percent, just 6 points better than the Liberals.

Nationally, the new poll by the Strategic Counsel gives the Harper Conservatives 37 percent and the Dion Liberals 29 percent, pushing the Conservatives closer to a majority government.

Sources say the Prime Minister will go to the Governor General at the end of the week and ask her to dissolve Parliament so that an election can be called on October 14th, the day after Thanksgiving.
