Katie Franzios reports on the Yonge-Dundas 'scramble'.

It's arguably the busiest intersection in Toronto and now pedestrians can walk right through it. Peoplehave 28 seconds to get through the middle of the Yonge-Dundas intersection diagonally. When you factor in crossing either just Yonge or Dundas alone, they have a total of around 85 seconds of walk-time.

It's being called a scrambled pedestrian intersection because of the different crossing options people now have. City officials say it was started because they wanted to find the safest way for pedestrians to cross.

CFRB's Katie Franzios has more.

The city says if this multi-directional pedestrian crossing pilot project takes off, similar systems may be put into place at the Yonge -Bloor and Bay-Dundas intersections.
