Lori Paris reports on Toronto's 42nd murder of the year

Toronto police have identified the city's 42nd murder victim - a 22-year-old man who was found dead on Sunday afternoon near the Bathurst Jewish Community Centre.

Police believe Evan Andrew Rouse was shot to death early Sunday morning.

Detective Sergeant Pauline Gray says his body was found on a mountain bike trail along the Don River, near Bathurst and Sheppard, and police are looking into why the body was found on the trail, since Rouse didn't live in the area.

"At this point, we're working with many theories. Most importantly, that we need the public's assistance. Evan was known to hang around in the downtown core, and so we're hoping that his friends or his acquaintances from the downtown core will be able to give us some sort of pattern in where he was in the days preceding (his death.)"
