Ryan Bird Reports on Scarborough Murder

Toronto Police are trying to identify the victim of the city's latest murder.

The body of a young man, thought to be in his late teens or early 20's, was found outside a home near Markham and Finch early Tuesday morning, the victim of an apparent shooting.

Police say a resident on Bon Echo Crt. phoned police shortly before 7am after discovering the man's body sprawled on the grass outside her front door.

While it's not exactly clear what happened, police believe the deadly incident may have started in an area behind the nearby Malvern Town Centre, where a blood trail began.

Detective Sgt. Christ Buck told reporters at the scene that neighbours reported hearing what may have been gun shots at varying times on Tuesday morning.
