As a new school-year fast approaches concerned parents, and community members packed the Ancaster Community Centre during a TCDSB meeting Monday evening to find out if a neighboring school to the Sunrise propane blast-site would re-open as scheduled.

But there will be no extended summer-break for the girls at Madonna Catholic Secondary School. It got the green light to open from board officials and environmental and health inspectors.

No asbestos debris from the blast was found inside the school, repairs continue on drop ceilings within the building.
