By the end of this week ,all of the province's large propane facilities will be re-inspected by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority... this in response to the deadly Sunrise propane explosion 10 days ago in Downsview. The TSSA will look for immediate hazards and may even shut violating facilities down.

Consumer minister Harinder Takhar feels the TSSA audit a good start towards restoring public confidence and public safety.
"We need to learn from this plan, what kind of issues are out there and what our next steps should be."
Speaking just outside Hamilton premier McGuinty told reporters he doesn't want to rush that process.
"Something happened which obviously should not have happened. Let's figure out exactly what went wrong before we act precipitously."
That isn't good enough for PC leader John Tory. He feels the premier is moving too slowly and should be able to take immediate steps to beef up public safety and help those financially affected by the blast.
