Katie Franzios reports on tainted meats.

Maple Leaf Foods is expanding its sliced, packaged meats recall from two to 23. It's causing the company to temporarily shut down its Toronto plant that prepares the products.

CFRB's Katie Franzios has more.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has not made a direct link between the recalled meats and the illness, but says listeria bacteria has been found in tested meats from the plant.

An infection by listeria bacteria can cause high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea.

On Sunday, Maple Leaf recalled Sure Slice roast beef and corn beef produced at the Toronto facility because it had discovered the bacteria in the meats.
