A Mississauga day care centre was locked down for about two hours Tuesday afternoon, after a man allegedly threatened the children and staff at the centre.
The 911 call came shortly after 10:30, when a day care worker noticed a man speaking through the fence to two children at the centre.
One of the children became visibly upset during the conversation with the man, believed to be the estranged stepfather, and the staff member took the children inside. It was then that the suspect threatened the worker, and all the children at the day care.
The suspect took off, and the day care centre was locked down for two hours. Shortly before one pm, 36-year-old Marco Dos Reyes was arrested by Peel Police and charged with two counts of uttering threats.
