Sunrise Statement

 Sunrise Propane has stopped talking.   The company at the centre of the deadly explosion more than a week ago issued a statement today saying it will not make any more public comments as a number of investigations into the tragic blast continue.

In a statement released today by Sunrise Propane, the company says it's cooperating with a number of investigations and to avoid speculation it will not make any other public comments.   It also urging people to not to rush to judgement about the explosion adding it has already expressed its profound regret over the deaths at the Downsview facility.

Meanwhile consumer minister Harinder Takhar has given the Technical Standards and Safety Authority until 5 o'clock today to come up with a detailed inspection plan for all large propane facilities in Ontario.   The arm's length agency came under fire last week when it released a map of depots like Sunrise that contained mistakes.
