Premier Dalton McGuinty faces criticism for not acting to improve the province's safety watchdog, the Techinical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), something he vowed to do before he became premier.

The premier also spoke of his first visit to the site of the Sunrise Propane explosion.

CFRB's Katie Franzios has more.

McGuinty spoke of the TSSA after he announced 70 new jobs for the province's manufacturing sector, much needed work in an industry that has taken a hit over the past few years. The jobs will be created at airplane parts maker 2Source Manufacturing in Mississauga, with the help of a $5.13 million dollar loan from the provincial government.
