Adam van Koeverden on Toronto at Noon

Kayaker Adam van Koeverden will get another chance to carry Canada's flag at the Olympics. The 26-year-old Oakville native was named Canada's flag-bearer for the Beijing Olympics at a news conference this morning in Montreal. He also carried the flag at the closing ceremony for the 2004 Athens Olympics where he won gold and bronze medals in flatwater kayaking. He is one of Canada's top medal hopefuls in Beijing. The opening ceremonies will be held Aug. 8th at the Beijing National Stadium. van Koeverden was a guest on CFRB's Toronto at Noon with Dave Trafford.
