Simply People

The 5th annual Simply People Event was held at Nathan Phillips Square .

The disability pride celebration has helped raise awareness in regards to barriers that people with disabilities face. 

The event has become a milestone in the disability rights movement. 

It was a night of entertainment as well. R&B singer Shel-B performed as well as the "Canadian Blind Idol " Libby Thaw.

Uzma Khan is part of the organizing committee and says next year, they plan on having a disability pride march.
