Move Over... It's the Law!

The Ministry of Transportation, the Ontario Provincial Police, Toronto Fire Services Toronto Emergency Medical Services have joined forces for an awareness campaign called "Move Over...It's the Law!"
It focuses on two issues:
− emergency response vehicles sharing roadways with the public while responding to emergency calls with their lights and sirens activated,
− the public's responsibility when encountering emergency response vehicles stopped on the side of the road with their lights activated.
If you fail to pull over for an emergency vehicle in the city, the fine is $150. Outside city limits, in OPP territory, the fee climbs to $490. In both cases, it includes 3 demerit points.
