United Way Funds Community Support

After a historic fundraising achievement in 2007, United Way Toronto announced today that it would be allocating $74.8 million in community development this year.

During it's Annual General Meeting President and CEO of United Way Toronto, Frances Lankin said, "Our Community Fund enables United Way to make a difference every single day in the lives of people living in our city".

In 2007, United Way Toronto raised over $108 million. The $74.8 million that will be invested in Toronto will go to support United Way's network of 200 health and social services agencies as well as special community programs and initiatives in Toronto's inner suburban neighbourhoods.
