Very frustrating, that's how Prime Minister Stephen Harper describes Canada's attempts to get aid into Burma, aid the Burmese government refuses. Harper made the comments in an exclusive interview with CFRB's Brian Lilley. The Prime Minister also talked about issues in the middle east and the Israel's 60th anniversary celebrations. Kayaker Adam van Koeverden will get another chance to carry Canada's flag at the Olympics. The 26-year-old Oakville native was named Canada's flag-bearer for the Beijing Olympics at a news conference Wednesday morning in Montreal. He also carried the flag at the closing ceremony for the 2004 Athens Olympics where he won gold and bronze medals in flatwater kayaking. He is one of Canada's top medal hopefuls in Beijing. The opening ceremonies will be held Aug. 8th at the Beijing National Stadium. van Koeverden was a guest on CFRB's Toronto at Noon with Dave Trafford.
