Life-saving animals honoured for heroic feats
Purina Hall of Fame
On Monday May 5th, five courageous canines were recognized at the Purina Animal Hall of Fame's 40th anniversary ceremony.  One of the recipients was from North York.

Jay Sobel is the owner of Corey, a 15-year-old miniature schnauzer.  Corey heard Jack Turner’s cry for help last May after Turner, 81 fell into his pool in North York and suffered a heart attack.  The dog pulled his owner in the wrong direction during their walk, something the dog never does.  Jay Sobel saw Jack in the pool and pulled him out and gave him his asthma medication and called 911 while Corey waited with him.

Dave Trafford spoke with Jay (and Corey) on Toronto at Noon (May 6th/08).  You can listen to the interview here.
