Legendary Canadian Goalie talks about health and fitness

Legendary Canadian goalie Grant Fuhr joins Dave Trafford on Toronto at Noon (May 6th/08) about hockey, weight loss and men’s health. A Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, Grant tended goal in the NHL for ten seasons, winning an impressive five Stanley Cups and in 1988 won a Vezina Trophy as the league’s best goaltender. The Alberta native ranks tied for 6th on the NHL’s all-time wins list with 403. Now, as the goalie coach of the Phoenix Coyotes, Grant is putting up a different set of numbers, starting with his own plus-minus rating – minus 35 pounds. As a professional athlete, Grant was on a strict exercise regiment, but he struggled with his weight after retirement. You can listen to the interview here.
