Toronto Food advocate wins Jane Jacobs award
Nick Saul won the Jane Jacobs prize for his pioneering work as a community activist. The Stop Community Food Centre, its staff and volunteers grow about 1,000 kilograms of produce every year in their 8,000 sq. ft. garden. That produce is served at drop-in breakfast and lunch programs as well as put into food hampers for low-income families who often find it challenging to get healthy food.
