Dave Trafford notes in
his blog how he's known about
Dala (or s) for years. And their success is no surprise to him. I've known about them for about 3 weeks, and am blown away.

I don’t know if it’s because I didn’t grow up in Canada, and never felt like I was being force-fed content by the Canadian government, or if, as Bill Carroll endlessly enjoys pointing out, I’m a born contrarian, but I’ve always enjoyed Canadian music and television, with my choices often surpassing any American fare on the dial.

I'm loving
Twitter and the possibilities it offers.
I produce a bunch of Twitter feeds

There should be a special cashier line for me in Supermarkets. For a start, you wouldn’t be allowed to use ANY change. Only Bills, credit or debit. I hate hate hate standing in line behind someone who is “sure” they have enough change to cover their $6.82 purchase, and proceed to count it out in pennies. It’s generally when I’m in a rush.

"
Blogging about productivity began to feel like drinking about alcoholism."
Great quote from Merlin Mann.

The soldier awakened and I heard a rough voice,
"Santa don’t cry, this life is my choice;
I fight for freedom, I don’t ask for more,
my life is my God, my country, my Corps."
I didn't want to leave him so quiet in the night,
this guardian of honor so willing to fight.
But half asleep he rolled over, and in a voice clean and pure,
said "Carry on, Santa, it's Christmas Day, all secure."
One look at my watch and I knew he was right,
Merry Christmas my friend, Semper Fi and goodnight.

It's the time of year when we reflect, both on what has happened over the past 365 days, and over our lifetimes.
Got me to thinking tonight, what is my favorite Christmas commercial. And the answer is apparently pretty easy.
It's the Coca Cola commercial called "holiday tree".

Steve Kowch once asked me why I didn't take phone calls when I was hosting the Early Edition. My answer remains the same, because I don't care much what people think, and have come to realize that in the long run, very few think very much anyway.

Bottom line.. Money is like organized religion. No real good can come of it in the long run.

Those keeners at Loblaws have taken a very positive step to saving my planet.
Starting April 22nd, they will be charging any uncaring planet-hating bastards who dare suggest they might carry their products home in a plastic bag, with a 5c fee for each bag. We can now rejoice and know that everything in the world is going to be just peachy keen. This is the best birthday present I could ever have asked for, and the fact that it’s also on earth day just makes it that much more rewarding.
