Jane Brown has been working as a journalist in Toronto radio since 1984, most notably since 1999 at Newstalk 1010 CFRB. Jane's proudest career moment came in June 2005, when her 7:30 news won a national RTNDA Canada award. One of the perks of being in radio is having access to some of the greatest people of our time. Over the years, Jane has had the pleasure of interviewing Canadian greats such as the late Maurice "Rocket"Richard, the late John Candy, Anne Murray and Jim Carrey, to name a few.
As part of the morning crew at Newstalk 1010, Jane has also chatted on the air with celebrities, such as Sheryl Crow, Lou Gossett Junior, Regis Philbin and the voice of Bart Simpson, Nancy Cartwright (that was her son's favourite interview!) Jane has spent most of her 25 year broadcasting career in morning radio and thinks its the best time of day - once the coffee kicks in!
She's at her desk at 4:20 (give or take a couple of minutes!), to find out what's happened in the world so she can pass along the information to you on CFRBs Bill Carroll Show! But as much as Jane loves radio, her biggest and best accomplishment is being Mom to her 13 year old son Jacob and 11 year old daughter Jamie. They are her "raison d'etre" (a little French for Bill's wife Sylvie!) Jane also tries her very best to workout four times a week and eat alot of salad!!
